Strong yet delicate, the Della tray set is crafted from real eggshell, a traditional handicraft material from Asia. Cracked eggshell creates intricate, one-of-a-kind patterns that are painted and encased in resin. This centuries-old application technique builds rich, feathery layers, giving each piece exceptional depth and character. Our lacquered eggshell pieces are made from locally sourced, upcycled eggshells that have been cracked, placed, painted, buffed, and polished by hand. Once the fragments have been laid, layers of lacquer are applied, offering each piece a distinguished sheen. You may also notice that some shells have discoloration or irregular spots, making every finished product completely one of a kind.
